The four slide bearings are oil impregnated bronze bushings, which eliminate the\nneed for re-lubrication. Bronze bushings are utilized rather than linear ball bearings because\nbushings distribute the load over a larger surface area. This results in less wear on the slide\nrods. Both rods are pinned to the end blocks to assure positive location. Delrin bumper pads,\nlocated at each end of the stroke, contribute to a low noise level minimizing the clatter inherent\nin fast acting slide devices.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\nDURA-SLIDE AIR units can be mounted in any plane provided both end blocks are set on\nmachined surfaces to prevent distortion. Either the main body or the end blocks function as\nthe fixed supports. The center main body houses the air cylinder and is offset from the end\nblocks in two planes. This offset feature allows the end blocks to be mounted on the same\nplane surface without risers. Multiple mounting holes in all the sections provide mounting\nversatility.
