This is an auction for a set of 2 Bars, each 12 inches long, of .500 inch diameter mounted Thomson Linear Race Shafting and a set of 2 Nice Open Bearing Pillow Blocks No. SPB 8 OPN - Dynamic Load Capacity - 230 lbf. Each Bid is for One Set including two mounted rods and two open pillow blocks. This rod is hardened to a 60 case and precision ground. 60 Case LinearRace shaft surface hardness provides resistance to deformation, whether it be from extreme point contact loading from bearing balls, line contact from rollers, or area contact from sleeve bearings. Hardness also provides resistance to wear, maintaining critical internal bearing fitup dimensions. 60 Case-hardened LinearRace shafting also provides a significant increase in bending and rotational fatigue resistance. This fact has been known in the automotive industry for years and is applied to the manufacturer of shafts and axles for cars and trucks.
